One of the reasons I recommend Aweber over ConstantContact for newsletter and mailing list management is because Aweber has a much more robust autoresponder feature. With Aweber you can set up as many autoresponder lists as you want, with a virtually unlimited number of emails in each autoresponder.
In contrast, ConstantContact only allows you to to send up to five emails in your autoresponder series. This is the explanation that I received from ConstantContact’s support department:
Yes, you can schedule Autoresponder emails to be sent up to 365 days after a new contact fills out your Join My Mailing List form or is uploaded to your account, however, you cannot schedule more than five Autoresponder emails at a time or schedule two Autoresponder emails to be sent on one day. For now, the five Autoresponders limit exists to ensure that you maintain maximum deliverability for your Autoresponder and standard emails alike, as well as to reduce the chance that you will receive spam complaints. Keep in mind that the new contacts in your Autoresponder lists are not limited to receiving only your five Autoresponder emails; they will also receive the standard emails that you choose to send to that list.
