Looking for help getting your invention to market?
Your first stop should be the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). The USPTO not only will help you protect your invention idea, but they also provide help with getting your invention to market.
Check out the Inventor Assistance Center (IAC) and the Inventor Resources web sites for general questions about the patent process, advice on hiring an agent or lawyer, how to finance and market an invention, and warnings about invention promotion scams.
There are also commercial companies that will help you for a fee. One example of such a company is NewProductHelp.com, a Florida-based invention assistance firm. NewProductHelp.com represents independent inventors who typically lack the resources and experience to pursue the commercialization of their product concepts on their own.
According to their website, NewProductHelp.com uses “dynamic promotional materials such as digital renditions, press releases, invention websites, and interactive virtual reality presentations, as well as representation at industry-leading trade shows, to achieve valuable exposure for the inventions it represents.”
Some of the inventions that NewProductHelp.com has recently promoted include:
- Scubaroo Aqua View that enables swimmers to see underwater, without having to utilize conventional scuba equipment.
- Doggie Waste Vac that provides its users with a simple and hassle-free method of thoroughly cleaning canine waste.
- ATV Hitch Lock which ensures that ATVs are properly and thoroughly secured at all times that they are not in use.
