Brian McClure, writing in the Thirty Day Challenge forum, provides this comparison of Market Samurai vs. MicroNiche Finder:
I own them both, and use both. Here are some key points from my use of both products.
Market Samurai
I really liked the tabs you can use to dig down into keyword phrases.
And save as different files in MyDocuments. Once you have saved it , it’s relatively easy to open the file and click back and forth through tabs reviewing the gathered information.
The steps to targeting your keywords through actually publishing content with monetization is easy to follow and there are so many options available in the different segments to view it’s great. However, several of these are coming soon.
Micronichefinder
They just released an update. While it does not have tabs, it does allow you to save different keyword searches into projects. Thus if you had a project named electric guitars, you can save keyword searches for vintage electric guitars, Gibson electric guitars,..etc in one project file. That’s kinda cool. Plus they are stored alphabetically and easy to get to thru MNF without searching through your MyDocuments
As far as content and monetization it’s all “right click” options while on the keyword phrase
My favorite thing about MNF is the feature to check and uncheck keywords and reverse the checks or delete the checks all at once. Market Samurai you have to delete each single phrase one at a time (currently) (Ed. note: Apparently the folks at Market Samurai are working on this) This usually results in errors from me as I am impatient and click several to delete..reach the bottom then the deletes reverse and move up the list.
For this reason I use micronichefinder more than market samurai. But I already have a niche developed with some affiliate products I intend to sell. I just need some keyword traffic data sorted quickly. It also has an affiliate program.
However, If I were to use a total new subject matter, Market Samurai looks like it has the most potential to easily transition through the multiple stages for a successful campaign.
