What is the Thirty Day Challenge?

The Thirty Day Challenge is a free training course that teaches you how to make your first $10 online. For a full 30 days master Internet marketers Ed Dale and Dan Raine teach you exactly how to start your own Internet business and generate your first income online without spending a dime.

That's right, without spending a dime. The entire training program is free, and you won't have to spend a thing to get your business started and begin making money. No credit card required.

The 2008 Thirty Day Challenge starts on August 1st, but pre-season started in June.

I participated in last year's challenge and would like to share the lessons I learned. Here we go:

Lesson #1. There is no way to know whether a particular idea will work or not. The only way is to test.

This is a big lesson. I see so many newbies out there who don't test and track their results. If you're not testing and tracking, you won't know what works and what doesn't. For example, if you're into affiliate marketing, you must track where your referrals come from. If they come from search engines, then you need to see which phrases work best and focus on them.

If they come from a site, focus on that site. See what works and produces results and work on it more. See what doesn't work and work on it less.

Lesson #2. If you can't describe what you are doing as a process, you don't know what you're doing.

The beauty of the Thirty Day Challenge is that it is a process. A process that you can describe in precise steps. So it is with your business. If you can't describe what you're doing, if you cannot outline the steps in a simple and precise way, you actually don't know what you're doing. That's why processes work so well. And people who know exactly what they're doing and why they're doing it are the most successful ones.

Lesson #3. In every difficulty there is an opportunity.

Winston Churchill said "A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.:

When I was doing the Thirty Day Challenge, I worked hard and I had my share of setbacks. For example, I would research a topic that I thought would make a great niche, only to find out that it didn't meet all the criteria recommended to move forward. Or even worse, I would move forward with a test site and find that even though I got lots of visitors to my site, no one bought anything.

If you find out if something doesn't work, you have two choices. Despair, or be grateful because you found that out sooner rather than later. If you're having a difficulty in your business, look at it as a learning experience - a lesson that will help you be more successful next try.

These are the three most important things I learned from the Thirty Day Challenge. If you're thinking about starting an Internet business, you might want to check it out. After all, it's not everyday that you see a complete training course that costs absolutely nothing.
