There are two main reasons why a small business or virtual office might want to get a US mail drop address:
1) you work from home but you don’t want to put your home address on your website or business cards
2) you live outside the US and you want to order something that is only available to US addresses
In addition, even if you live in the US you may want to get a mail drop address if your current P.O. Box does not allow you to receive express deliveries such as FedEx and UPS.
It’s fairly easy to get a US mailing address – there are various services that will act as a mail drop and even include phone/fax facilities like a virtual office. Another advantage is that if you want something that’s only available in the US you can get it sent to your “US address” then redirected to your home address – very useful.
Two of the bigger US drop box services are USA2Me.com, USAbox.com® and USAMail1.com. Typically you get a street address at which you can receive letters and large packages and they will forward them to you anywhere in the world. The price depends on where you live (obviously it costs more to ship from the USA to Australia than to Canada, for example) and what additional features you choose. But for basic service, the cost is surprisingly small.
If you do a search for “USA mail drop” you’ll find several additional companies to choose from.

I was wondering if that was available. It is a great idea. I should start a business like that myself. But seriously…great post!
I didn’t know there are such services.
I want to benefit from such services, provided they are not scams.
