Website Design: You Only Need to Get Two Things Right

by Barbra Sundquist

What goes on your business website?

Most people try to do too much with their websites. Keep it simple. The two main questions you should keep in mind as you design your website are:

1) How clear is it that you have a way to help your ideal client get what they want and need?

2) How easy is it for your visitor to take the next step? (whether that’s signing up for your newsletter, contacting you, making a purchase or something else)

Here are some examples of websites that do this well:

BioTemplates.com (this is one of my websites)
AtomicShops.com
TeachMeTeamwork.com

What do I like about these websites?

It’s obvious that the business understands EXACTLY what the visitor needs and wants, and it’s obvious what the visitor’s next step should be.
